What Are XRPL Tokens?
The XRP Ledger supports the issuance of custom tokens (also called Issued Currencies or IOUs). Any account can issue a token by setting up trustlines with holders. Tokens on XRPL can represent stablecoins (like RLUSD), utility tokens, governance tokens, or any other digital asset. They are identified by a currency code and issuer address.
How to Search XRPL Tokens
On Explore XRPL, you can search tokens by currency code (e.g., RLUSD, SOLO), by issuer address, or by token name. The token explorer at /tokens shows all listed tokens with supply, holder count, trustlines, 24h volume, and price data.
Understanding Token Data
Each XRPL token page shows: currency code, issuer address, total supply, number of holders, number of trustlines, 24h trading volume, price in XRP and USD, DEX activity, and AMM pools. Trustlines represent accounts that have opted in to hold the token.
What Are Trustlines?
A trustline is a relationship between two XRPL accounts that allows one to hold a token issued by the other. Before you can receive an XRPL token, you must create a trustline to the issuer. Trustlines require a small XRP reserve. The number of trustlines for a token indicates how many accounts have opted in to hold it.
